Network analyst at Halton District School Board. BIT graduate. Fortinet NSE 1–3. CCNA candidate. This is the full credential record behind the site.
I'm Dylan Doyle — a full-time network analyst at Halton District School Board, based in Burlington, ON. I completed the Bachelor of Information Technology (Network Technology) joint program between Carleton University and Algonquin College in Ottawa.
I spent two co-op terms in Halton's IS-IS department during my degree, was kept on full time after graduation, and have been working there since. Day-to-day I manage and troubleshoot the network infrastructure across a large multi-site school district — VLANs, managed switches, wireless deployments, and the kind of production issues that remind you why you test in a lab first.
Outside work I run a Fortinet home lab — FortiGate 60F, FortiSwitch 124D, FortiAP 421E — and self-host everything including this site on a Pop!_OS box running Apache2, exposed via Cloudflare Tunnel. I'm working toward my CCNA and training for a full Ironman.
TheLineman.ca documents all of it: the certs, the lab, the real-world gap, and the grind.
